Rafila “Firuta” Mateias passed away peacefully on November 10th, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of Ioan, cherished mother of Ana-Maria and Ioan Mircea, and adored grandmother of Naomi and Luca.
Rafila lived a long and fulfilling life, marked by her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith in God. She was a devout Christian and found great comfort in her spirituality. She was a wonderful and loving wife, a doting mother, and an adoring grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She was a talented cook that showed her love for her family and friends through delicious traditional Romanian dishes. She had many friends and extended family whom she cared for and always helped.
Family will receive friends and guests at Beechwood Funeral Home, 280 Beechwood Ave, on Saturday November 16, 2024, from 9:00am-10:00am for a time of visitation followed by a funeral service at 10:00am.
