It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arlington Smith Mills on Thursday, October 24, 2024, he was 80 years old.  He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Mills whom he married on March 25, 1967, two loving daughters, Tracy Mills (Al) and Elizabeth Hart (Jon) and three grandchildren, Zach, Seth and Sarah. He is survived by his sisters Carole, Mildred, Gladys and his brother Paul and many nieces and nephews.

My sincere sympathies to wife Dorothy and the rest of the family.
To say 'Spook' was a character would be a great understatement. He helped made our work place enjoyable.

My deepest condolences and prayers to Al’s wife Dorothy and family. He was a treasure that will be missed. I enjoyed working with him at Home Depot for many years. His sense of humour and kindness were heartfelt and he was loved by all.

I knew Spook from work - a terrific guy with a great sense of humour. He was a hard worker who excelled at all he did. My heart goes out to his family and many friends.

I have many fond memories of working along side Spook in the Data shop at the old RCMP headquarters fixing Model 40 teletypes. I still remember events like Spook losing a pager in the wash station sink, or the weekly donut runs. He did everything at full speed … work, baseball tournaments, pulling fibre or eating red hot chicken wings … always fully committed. I’ve always looked up to him as a role model and example of doing the right things for the right reasons. I’ll miss you Spook.

Worked with Spook for many years, he was the "go to guy" for straight answers and fixes. He was a great story teller and a sincere person. My sincere condolences to his wife and family.
I will always remember you....
