WO (retired) Glen G. Pinsonneault CD

It is with profound sadness that our dear Father, Glen G. Pinsonneault lost his battle with dementia at the age of 84 on April 25th, 2024.

1958 commenced an over 30-year service career with RCAF. In his retirement, he loved the outdoors; spending time canoeing, biking, and golfing. Dad was always ready and willing for a road trip with his grandchildren to museums, parks and nature walks where he loved to feed the chickadees and talk to them with his famous Donald Duck voice.  He would be the first to start a good debate, which meant buckle up, it was going to be awhile. He was a practical and very honest man, who was always kind to all.

The last few years we watched as dementia slowly took over his understanding and ease of daily tasks. His final days Dad managed to grace a few special people with his beautiful smile, which will be forever engraved in our hearts.

He is survived by his children Carolynn (Darin), Gary (Kim) and Glen. Grandchildren Caden, Cassidy, Jake, Jacqueline, Brandon, Laura and Michelle; and two great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Jeannie (Robertson) Pinsonneault. He is survived by his younger sister Vivienne Myers, predeceased by his siblings, Wilfred, Louis, Beverly, Wayne, Delores, and Celeste.

A heartfelt thank you to the loving staff at the Ravines on the 2nd floor memory care.  It is a very special place with wonderful people. He was blessed to have a devoted and caring doctor of 20+ years, Dr. Nicolette Fellegi. Her unwavering dedication and kindness did not go unnoticed and we will be forever grateful.

Dad’s final resting place will be at National Military Cemetery at Beechwood. As per his wishes a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers please donate to https:/dementiahelp.ca

Rest easy Dad, until we meet again “right on”

Glen was a very special man. He was so kind and had the best smile ever! He loved his music and we would all have the best time outside, singing the favorites and enjoying the jets and airplanes fly overhead. Carolyn and family were so great at knowing just what would make you the happiest.
It was a privilege to know you and I will remember that beautiful smile forever. Rest in peace xx
