After a faithful and well-lived life, RCAF Squadron Leader (Retired) Graham Moore passed away peacefully, in Ottawa, in his 92nd year. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Dorothy, his parents Elizabeth and Jack Moore, stepsister Stella (Charlie) James, and brother Gordon (Marion) Moore.
Graham had a deep faith in God, a devoted love for family and friends, a strong work ethic, and a genuine caring for all those he met throughout his life. These are the gifts and legacy he has passed on to his children Kristine (Ted) Roberts and Shawn (Adele) Moore, his grandchildren Elaine (Christopher) Dadswell, Jennifer (Devin) Moore, Anne-Marie (Josh) O’Dette, Kathleen Roberts, and his great-grandchildren Skylar, Brianna, Liam, Charlotte, and Logan.
In his lifetime, Graham served in the RCAF for 31 years, then with National Defense Public Service, and was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Knights of Columbus, Local 8008. His respectful, happy and charming nature, endless patience, laughter, and sense of humour will be forever memories for all who knew him.
Graham’s family would like to sincerely thank his physician of 21 years, Dr. Keith Lane and his clinic team, the professional staff of 5 NE at the Ottawa General Hospital, the Champlain HCCSS, the caring, compassionate staff at Elmsmere Villa, Ottawa, and Beechwood Funeral Services for their very helpful services and support.
A Visitation will be held at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, on Monday, April 22nd, at Annunciation of the Lord Parish, Ottawa. Interment will be in North Bay, at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
