Robert Ah-Yu Hung passed away in the early morning of Wednesday December 27th, 2023.
He is dearly missed by his loving wife Theresa of 50 years with whom they have two children together, Grace and Evan Hung.
"YeYe"-"GongGong" and his big loving heart will be sorely missed by his little angels, Emily and Jakob Hung as well Angela Sze forever in their hearts.
Robert left his birth country of China seeking a better opportunity and life for himself and of his dream to build a family with the best of opportunities for their futures. He accomplished this by sacrificing himself through hard work and long hours. This defined who he was and imprinted this strength of character onto his children.
"Love is sacrifice" embodied through Robert's life.
Robert and Theresa operated HILLVIEW CONFECTIONERY on Montreal Road for 22 years making lasting impressions and lifelong friendships. Thank you to the BEACON HILL community for accepting the Hung family into their fold.
Robert will be dearly missed by his large family and friends.
If desired but not required, flowers can be sent to the BEECHWOOD CEMETERY, however a preference would be towards donating to the HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION www.heartandstroke.ca

Sending our heartfelt sympathy to you, Grace, and your family. We shall be keeping you in our prayers.
Uncle Robert was a kind and caring uncle, he was greatly admired and respected by my father. When I first met Uncle, which must have been in 1981 when we first came to Chicago and he came to visit from Ottawa, he gifted me a golden cross pen. It was a rare treasure and I wrote with it for many many years! His sudden passing was a shock to us all but memories of him live on. Rest in peace, Uncle.
