Passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years. Maria was born in Székesfehévár Hungary, to her late parents Maria (nee Peter) and Béla Platthy. She is predeceased by her brother Bill (Annette) and sister Karrie. Maria leaves behind her loving husband and companion of 47 years, Peter H. Bailey, with whom she travelled the world. She will always be loved and dearly missed by her sons from a previous marriage, Bob and the late Tom (Christine) and granddaughters Emma and Megan.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life on Friday, December 29th, 2023 at Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON) from 1 to 3pm.
