Passed away peacefully on October 5th, 2023 surrounded by her family. Vera leaves behind her loving husband Michel Boutros and her adoring children Maroun Boutros (Sarah MacDougall), Elie Boutros, and Rita Boutros Said (Fares Said). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Michel, Éloïse, Anastasia, Athanasius and Arsenius. Fondly remembered by her siblings, Laure Chahwan (Adel Chahwan) and Nouhad Chahwan (Najwa Khoury), as well as in-laws, Mourad Boutros (Arlette Haddad), Emile Boutros (May El Khoury), Joseph Boutros (Fadia El Harran), John Boutros (Maha El Baba) and Boutros Boutros (late Anne Carrasset) and their families in Canada and abroad.
Special thanks to the Ottawa General Hospital and her caregivers for their love and support during her final days.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON) on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 from 5-9pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Charbel Parish (245 Donald St. Ottawa, ON) on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 at 10am followed by the Burial at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Charbel Parish or the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
