Keith Plowman - Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on a beautiful blue skied morning on August 6th, 2023, at the age of 87. He is predeceased by his loving wife Mary P. Cunningham. He is survived by his 3 children, Jeff, Rob (Carolina), Susan (Jeanette). And his beloved grandson, Jordan Plowman.
Keith’s motto was “Life Is Not a Dress Rehearsal!” And he lived his to the fullest! He had an amazing life, first travelling with his first wife and young children to Calgary to run Parks Canada in the 1970’s. Then, with External Affairs, he travelled around the globe as a Project Director/Director General building Canadian Embassies & Consulates all over the world. Ending with a 5-year posting in Tokyo, Japan. If that weren’t enough, he was an avid sailor and Cruise enthusiast and travelled extensively with he & Mary’s wonderful like-minded group of friends. He will be so dearly missed by so many for his joy of life, literature, conversation, music, food & wine. Thank you for being our teacher, guide, greatest champion, And, most importantly, Our Father!
Our love, respect & gratitude is immeasurable.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 10th, 2023, from 1 - 4pm at The Glen Scottish Pub in Stittsville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ottawa Humane Society in the name of Keith Plowman.
