When my Dad, former Sgt. Patrick Kelly, died in 2019, a distinguished gentleman, neatly attired in his Legion blazer, approached me at the visitation. He introduced himself as Frank Sweet and mentioned he had worked with Dad at (I believe)Downsview air base in the 1960's. He was most complimentary about his workmate and said how sad he was to find out that Dad had been living in Ottawa since 1968 and he himself had been unaware. Mr. Sweet attended the funeral the next day as well and I shall forever remember his kindness. My sincere condolences to Mr. Sweet's loved ones. The two lads must have had some fun catching up over the past few months in the great air base beyond the clouds.
