The family would like to thank the wonderful staff who took care of Wayne during his final days at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital.

In Memory of Wayne donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Wayne and I were friends from our earliest days -- we grew up as next-door neighbours on Highland Avenue. We shared travel adventures, entertainments, and the companionship, still flourishing, of Nepean HS classmates. Always I cherished in Wayne his breadth of interests, his lively conversation, his concern for others, his legendary good humour. I'll miss him very much.

I knew Wayne since the two of us were pre-schoolers. We met in "Nursery School" , a sort of 1940's daycare. We continued our friendship through elementary school at Broadview, and high school at Nepean. After graduation from high school we went our separate ways, meeting only intermittently, either at gathering of Nepean grads, or at a Loblaws. Throughout the years Wayne remained the same person. He had an almost Zen quality. I never once heard him say a word in anger. Life, for him always seemed to be good. I will miss him, a good old friend.
