On April 26, 2023, peacefully surrounded by family, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Predeceased by Reginald John (2020), her husband of 62 years.
Leaves behind “her girls”, Kay Kohli (Evan Davies), Ruth Austin (Darren Parsons) and son Paul.
Fun-loving Grandma or “Mrs. A” to Sabrina Rioux (Kevin), Neal Kohli, Danny Kohli (Anna), Rachael Chartrand (Eric), Austin Kohli, Jack Parsons and Addy Parsons. Great Grandma of eight, and counting.
Also fondly remembered by Dev Kohli, John Boersma, Sarah Fournier and relatives in the U.K.
Special thanks from the family to the whole team at Promenade Suites & Retirement Residence and Dr. Emilie Daigneault for their compassionate and excellent care.
Mavis will always be remembered for her love and support of family, her artistic talents including poetry, her volunteer work, her beautiful gardens, and her recent love of singing. Coincidentally, her name means songbird.
There will be a private family celebration of life. Donations appreciated to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County (dementiahelp.ca).
