It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Donald (Don) Arthur McSheffrey on Monday, January 9, 2023, in Ottawa. Don was born in Ottawa, on June 22, 1948 to the late Albert “Bert” and Marion McSheffrey.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Marilyn, the love of his life for 53 years and his son David McSheffrey (Kim). He was the proud grandfather of Morgan McSheffrey (Chris), Matthew McSheffrey (Hannah), Marshall McSheffrey, as well as proud step-grandfather to Michael Presley (Lydia), Ryan Wallace and Ian Wallace. Dear brother of Sue McSheffrey Turpin (Lionel) and Rick McSheffrey (Val). He will be greatly missed by his step-mother, Lorna Davidson. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and will be missed by his friends and other extended family members.
Don always enjoyed a good hockey game, especially the Ottawa Senators. He was also looking forward to being a great-grandfather in February and loved his fur baby Stanley.
Don requested that funeral services not be held. A celebration of life, a time to gather and share stories of Don, will be held at a later date.
