It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Patricia Croft on Dec 29, 2022 at the age of 79. She is survived by her loving husband Capt (N) John Croft Ret'd, her daughter Susan Elizabeth Diotte and Grandson Christopher John Diotte. The best Wife, Mom, Uma, Friend, anyone could ask for!
Pat was born in St Thomas, Ontario on October 22nd 1943, but spent most of her youth in Oshawa Ontario. In 1961 she went to Queen's University in Kingston where she met the love of her life, RMC Cadet John Croft and after graduation, the two were married in August 1964 and embarked on a life long adventure. A" honeymoon" trip to Halifax was the start of many postings between 1964 - 1980 with the Navy, and Debert NS and Virginia Beach, Virginia were 2 of her favourites.
After that, Ottawa was home, and she made anyone who came to the house, feel that way. Pat loved her family with all her might! She adored her husband John of 58 years, daughter Susan and her Grandson Christopher, as well as many, many, cherished friends. Pat loved to cook, entertain, travel, laugh and nobody's Butter tarts were better than hers. She also treasured spending time at her special places, whether it was at the cottage in the Muskoka's feeding the chipmunks or going to the theatre in Stratford Ontario, or travelling with family and friends worldwide. She was the best of all of us and will be so missed!
At Pat's request there will no service or visitation. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.

Pat was the best next door neighbor anybody could ask for. She would treat you like you were part of the family and if you had something on your chest and needed to talk to someone she was there to listen. I had never met a couple nicer then Pat and John. I would like to send my condolences to John, Susan and Chris and all of her family and friends.
