Passed away on Thursday, 26 May 2022, at the age of 71. She was the daughter of the late John Forrest Jr & the late Orma May Forrest née Geddes and the wife of Mr. Dominique, Joseph Elie, Guay. She leaves in sorrow her children Ken (Heather) and Cindy, and her sisters Carole Cooper née Forrest and Nancy Forrest-Canivet. As well as a niece, Heather Sturm (Adam), her Preceptor Epsilon Eta Sorority Sisters, her Winter Texan friends and friends throughout Canada and the United States.
The family would like to thank, first and foremost, the ICU and AMA nurses and the doctors at the Ottawa Civic Hospital who took great care of Wendy, particularly on her last few days.
Wendy enjoyed spending her winters in Texas, cruises (Alaskan cruise was her favorite) and the summer residence just outside Kemptville. She loved to dance and entertain family/friends for dinners.
Visitation will be held at the Beechwood Funeral Services on Tuesday, 5 July 2022, at 9am. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11 am followed by the burial. Afterwards, a reception in Wendy's memory will be held at Beechwood until 2pm.
The family would request that a donation be made instead of flowers to The Ottawa Hospital in her memory.

Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Ken (Heather) et Cindy, ses soeurs Carole Cooper née Forrest et Nancy Forrest-Canivet. Elle laisse également sa nièce Heather Sturm (Adam), ses sœurs de la sororité Epsilon Eta Preceptor, ses ami(e)s texans qu’elles côtoyaient durant les hivers et ses ami(e)s du Canada et des États-Unis.
La famille tient à remercier, avant tout, les infirmières de l'USI et de l'AMA ainsi que les médecins de l'Hôpital Civic d'Ottawa qui ont pris grand soin de Wendy, surtout au cours de ses derniers jours.
Wendy aimait passer ses hivers au Texas, faire des croisières (la croisière en Alaska était sa préférée) et la résidence d'été juste à côté de Kemptville. Elle aimait danser et recevoir sa famille et ses ami(e)s pour souper.
Une visite aura lieu à Beechwood Services Funéraires le mardi 5 juillet, 2022 à 9 h. Un service commémoratif sera célébrée à 11 h, suivi de l’inhumation. Ensuite, une réception en la mémoire de Wendy se tiendra à Beechwood jusqu’à 14h.
La famille demande qu'au lieu de fleurs, un don soit fait à l'Hôpital d'Ottawa en sa mémoire.
