Passed away on Monday May 2, 2022, at the age of 74. Son of the late Joseph and Irene Leduc. Beloved husband of Barbara Leduc née Hills. Stepfather of Michael St-John. He will be remembered by his sisters-in-law Ruth Rothery (John), Marion Dunn and Judie Parker Hills as well as many wonderful cousins, particularly, Leona, Therese, and Cecile. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Robert (Bob) Hills (Kathy).

After receiving his MBA at Queen’s University, Gerry worked in (high-tech) before finding his “niche” managing money at CIBC Wood Gundy. Summers spent at the cottage on Otty Lake, travelling the world, playing pickleball, and reading were his passions. He had some very fine friends who will remember him for his dignity, his sense of humor and his ability to relate to others- he was always able to say the right thing.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated later. In Memory of Gerry, donations to the Canadian Red Cross for Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal would be appreciated.

Gerry and I shared an interconnecting room in the fall of 1965 at the Village Student Residence in the fall of 1965 and maintained our close friendship for more than five decades. We had great driving trips together and I have nothing but fond memories of Gerry. Sincere condolences to Barbara and family. Gerry was a great guy.

I have many fond memories of my long time friendship with Gerry. As a classmate at the University of Waterloo; a floor mate in student residence; a member of the Patterson Avenue crowd; a travelling companion to Jamaica where we competed in goat races; my first financial advisor; organizer of in person and later online bridge games; devoted Senator's fan and fierce critic of my beloved Maple Leafs; lover of animals and nature – I last saw him sitting contentedly in my living room with a cat on his lap. RIP my friend. You will be missed.

Gerry was a wonderful fellow who we had the pleasure of knowing from the Waterloo days to the present. His financial advice and interest in our family were always welcome and important for us. He cared about many people and this came through clearly in the way he live his life. Please extend our deepest sympathy to Barbara and Michael for their loss.
