Janie Bilder (née Binks)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Janie Elizabeth Bilder (nee Binks) announce her peaceful passing on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the age of 72. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Samantha (Adam), John (Raphaëlle), and Geoffrey (Heather); grandchildren: Barron, Addison, Sophie, Luc, Bronwyn, and William; siblings: Diana, Harry, Geoffrey; grand-pup Hailey; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Janie was born in Ottawa to John and Nancy. She attended Branksome Hall and later studied Architectural Design at Algonquin College. After graduating, she became a licensed Real Estate Broker and devoted more than 30 years to her career as a top agent in Ottawa. Janie was honoured to receive countless awards for her hard work and dedication to her clients. She cherished her time at her home away from home, Danford Lake, where she enjoyed quality time with friends/family, gardening, playing card games and being on the water. A Reception in honour of Janie will be held at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre on Thursday May 12, from 12:30p.m. until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Janie's name may be made to the Bruyère Foundation  or the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
