Died peacefully just shy of his 95th birthday.
A loyal, honest and humble man who could do anything he put his mind to, his greatest joy was following his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments. His influence on their lives is immeasurable.
Henry was proud of his family heritage in Ottawa and his large extended Wright and Sherwood family. He was loved by all he met. As a fellow Pine Hill dog walker said “I have all the time in the world for that guy.”
He leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Anna (n. Bierrum) and his children: Phoebe (Brian d.), Christina (Doug), Palmer (Isabelle) and Elisabeth (Jonathan), 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
As was his wish, there will be no visitation or service. The family will host a celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers we suggest donations to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind or the charity of your choice.

I met Henry almost 50 years ago, when I became good friends with Phoebe. Henry always welcomed me with his warm voice, big smile and engaging conversation. He was such a delight to all and he exuded energy and warmth. Henry will be missed by everyone who had the fortune to know him. XXOO

Christina, my heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.
Most sincere condolences.
I remember my cousin Henry for his friendly greetings at the Wright Family reunions and the long walks we all would participate in. Henry always educated me about our many relatives in the Wright family, as well as the Howard family connection.
