Aurora was a exceptional human being. She loved her family dearly.
She also loved her "extended family" very much: she shared her wonderful memories of her international travels ( usually accompanied by beloved husband Vasile), she loved to cook traditional dishes both at home and at her cottage when we came for a visit, she also shared the herbal remedies of MARIA Treban, etc. She was full of life and she had a contagious laugh.
Rest in Peace Aurora
Dumnezeu sa te odihneasca ❤

It is with much sadness that we say farewell to our beloved Aurora, known as grandma to many of us even if I am a grandma myself,. We always had so much fun with her and grandpa at the chalet! She would cook up a storm without hesitation and made it seem so easy, it was always abundant and delicious. Aurora was a remarkable woman and her spirit will live on in our hearts forever!
We love you very much and we will miss you!
Rest In Peace dear Aurora, until we meet again! Farewell!

I enjoyed those conversations shared with Aurora at our CMHC luncheons. She was witty and attentive, and quite unafraid to share her opinions. At one such luncheon, I remember her explaining Korean Bulgogi to me, assuring me that I'd enjoy it. She was right. I did enjoy it. So much so that I ambitiously attempted to prepare it at home. THAT, however, was too ambitious. Disaster followed. We will all miss her.

Vasile temporarily rented a room in my house when he first came to Ottawa to work at CMHC. I'm sorry that, at the time, all I could provide Vasile, Aurora and a little boy, likely Ciprian, was a single bed for all 3 of them, yet no one ever complained. I met Aurora again on a few occasions, always pleasant. My sympathies go to Vasile and his family.

I so sorry Vasile. All the best to you and your family.
Grandma always made us feel welcome. We loved every minute we spent with her and Grandpa at the chalet. Always so busy and energetic, funny, young spirited, loving. ..truly a remarkable person. We love her dearly and she will always be in our hearts. She will be missed.
We love your Grandma forever.
