Died peacefully on April 16, 2026, in Ottawa, surrounded by family, after a courageous fight with cancer. Adored spouse of Michelle, devoted father to Nicholas, Christopher (Sofia), and Maximiliano, and loving grandfather to Calian. Beloved brother to Teresita (Eddie) and Juan Martin (Margarita), and an adoring uncle to Teresita, Ximena, Tomas, Josefina, Martina, Agustin, and Hannah.

Guillermo was the Chief Architect at Global Affairs Canada for almost two decades and an expert in diplomatic facility design. In this work, he amalgamated his passion for the built environment with his love of travel and culture. Guillermo graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a Master of Architecture degree and professional license, and practiced architecture in Argentina before relocating to Canada for postgraduate studies in architecture at McGill. Licensed in Ontario and Quebec (retired), and a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, he left his mark in both private practice and public service. Always generous with his time and his smile, he will be remembered for his wit, humour, and zest for living.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Derek Jonkers, Dr. Charlene Habibi, and Kas for their dedicated care, kindness, and support during his cancer journey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are welcome.

A private funeral service has been held at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services. For messages of condolence, please visit www.beechwoodottawa.ca
