George was a quiet man, always ready to help, and typically the man behind the camera for our family photos. Love & condolences to all of his family. Ruth

Beloved husband of Barbara and an integral member of our family for many years, George always helped out. I remember fondly his creation of individual art pieces from a greater, larger piece of work my sister, Katherine had painted. George cut up the piece, isolating each gourd, then framed each piece with matching wood. These individual pieces were dispersed amidst us siblings and are handsome pieces of art by themselves. I also remember him helping my Dad do the framing of the downstair bedrooms in the house on Beaverton when Dad was finishing the downstairs and making bedrooms for each of us. George was a real handyman and created the address sign at my parent's cottage 32 Chemin Heron. He and Barbara often opened their home to us for Christmas dinners and extending their warm hospitality. He will be greatly missed.

I met George when I was a child kindly invited to our eldest cousin Barbara Joy Nedved’s wedding to George Mclaren. When I look back at the photos today what a handsome man George was.
We lived in Montreal then & visited Grandpa & Grandma Knight in Ottawa quite regularly. I have great memories of George & Barbara having garden lunches with us at my Uncle Derek & Auntie Joan’s home. I took my husband Chris to meet all the family there & George & Barbara included. My memories of George were that he was very much an integral part of our extended family along with his wife Barbara. George was a wonderful Dad to their two sons John & Geoffrey and loving husband to his wife Barbara. George was very helpful to my grandparents & the rest of the family in Ottawa. May George rest in peace. Lots of love to cousin Barbara & our condolences.

I loved being the flower girl for Barbara and George 62 years ago. George loved being outdoors and solving do it yourself challenges that involved making, adjusting, maintaining and creating. Our families spent many Sunday dinners together and holiday gathering. Thank you for your steady presence.

We are so sad to have to say goodbye to such a wonderful long time friend. George was always the first one to offer his help, fix things, and do special projects.
Everywhere we look in our home we see the many things he did and the beautiful memories we made with him.
We will miss you dear friend.
Rest in Peace George, until we meet again.
We send our sincere condolences to Barbara and family.
