Sharon passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at her home in Ottawa at the age of 64, on Monday, August 7, 2023. Beloved wife of Umberto Veraldi and cherished mother of Francesco Veraldi (Debra) and Michele Veraldi (Julianne). Sharon will also be sadly missed by her siblings (Michael, Theresa, Gail, and Catherine). Predeceased by her parents, David and Mary Haché.
Sharon was happiest when spending time with her family and friends or supporting her boys. Her unrelenting perseverance and larger-than-life personality brought strength to those around her and afforded her the unique ability to focus on the light and the journey during difficult times. Sharon will be remembered for her love, laughter and for being unapologetically herself at all times, never hesitating to provide motherly advice and support or speak her mind to those around her.
A special thanks to those who went above and beyond to support Sharon’s wishes to be at home; to the oncology and support teams at The Ottawa Hospital; and to all those who supported Sharon through her journey.
Visitation will take place at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm. As per Sharon’s wishes, no additional services will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I never had the chance to ever meet Sharon in person, but we basically had each other on speed dial at work. I loved collaborating with her on what we did, she and I almost shared a brain about things. This makes me so sad. My condolences to family and friends, Sharon, rest in peace.

Mickey, Umberto: my deepest condolences to both of you and your family on the loss of your loved one.
To the family and friends, my sincere condolences. I have had the pleasure of working with Sharon. She was knowledgeable, always willing to help, considerate, and she was my go to person when we had extremely difficult cases in the program. Over and above this however, she was a beautiful human being. She was my Avon lady, and the delivery of my packages provided us the opportunity to chat about nothing and everything. I hope that soon, your sadness will be replaced by happy memories. I will remember Sharon for her laugh.
