Sharon passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at her home in Ottawa at the age of 64, on Monday, August 7, 2023. Beloved wife of Umberto Veraldi and cherished mother of Francesco Veraldi (Debra) and Michele Veraldi (Julianne). Sharon will also be sadly missed by her siblings (Michael, Theresa, Gail, and Catherine). Predeceased by her parents, David and Mary Haché.
Sharon was happiest when spending time with her family and friends or supporting her boys. Her unrelenting perseverance and larger-than-life personality brought strength to those around her and afforded her the unique ability to focus on the light and the journey during difficult times. Sharon will be remembered for her love, laughter and for being unapologetically herself at all times, never hesitating to provide motherly advice and support or speak her mind to those around her.
A special thanks to those who went above and beyond to support Sharon’s wishes to be at home; to the oncology and support teams at The Ottawa Hospital; and to all those who supported Sharon through her journey.
Visitation will take place at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm. As per Sharon’s wishes, no additional services will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I am so sorry for your loss, Mickey and family. Sending strength and peace at this difficult time.
My condolences to the family. She was one of the good ones, as I reflected on Sharon, I remember a cereal commercial, and in this commercial, the kids would say, "Give it to Mikey he doesn't eat anything." I thought about the commercial, not to say that she didn't eat anything, but to say "give it to Sharon and she will find a resolution. She was that good.
