Sharon passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at her home in Ottawa at the age of 64, on Monday, August 7, 2023. Beloved wife of Umberto Veraldi and cherished mother of Francesco Veraldi (Debra) and Michele Veraldi (Julianne). Sharon will also be sadly missed by her siblings (Michael, Theresa, Gail, and Catherine). Predeceased by her parents, David and Mary Haché.
Sharon was happiest when spending time with her family and friends or supporting her boys. Her unrelenting perseverance and larger-than-life personality brought strength to those around her and afforded her the unique ability to focus on the light and the journey during difficult times. Sharon will be remembered for her love, laughter and for being unapologetically herself at all times, never hesitating to provide motherly advice and support or speak her mind to those around her.
A special thanks to those who went above and beyond to support Sharon’s wishes to be at home; to the oncology and support teams at The Ottawa Hospital; and to all those who supported Sharon through her journey.
Visitation will take place at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm. As per Sharon’s wishes, no additional services will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

My deepest condolences to Sharon's family. I worked with Sharon for several years at CSLP before I had to stop working due to an accident at work. She was a
wonderful collegue who was an expert in her area. She always provided her assistance whenever she could and made our work together enjoyable. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you .

My sincerest condolences to the entire Veraldi and Hache family.
I knew Sharon well through working together over several years, serving Canadians. She was so passionate and motivated to do what was right and to help people out. I very quickly learnt how great of a teacher she could be, and loved her willingness and desire to share her wisdom and knowledge with others.
Through changing positions at work, COVID, and then her retirement, we kept ties alive because she surpassed that boundary of coworker into the realm of personal friend. She took such pride in sharing the ongoing of her family and it gave her joy to help and support them whenever possible.
Sharon didn't mince words. She was always a straight shooter who's motivations were clear and focused. She was one of a kind and never shied away from honesty, even when some things were hard to hear, or hard for her to say, but that was Sharon. She called it as she saw it and I grew a lot thanks to her presence in my life.
I truly wish she had more time on this earth and more of a chance to enjoy her retirement years. The world was a better place with her in it and will always be a bit better thanks to her hard efforts to assist and help both those close to her (family & friends), as well as complete strangers.
May you rest in peace Sharon. Lord knows you have earned it.

My condolences and deepest sympathies to Sharon's family. I knew her as a longtime work colleague, and over the years we had a very enjoyable friendship. She was a positive influence, and she was also a great help to her friends and colleagues. I hope her family is able to take some measure of comfort and remember happier times. Sharon was a wonderful friend, and when she talked about her family, it was obvious how much she loved them.
