Sharon passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at her home in Ottawa at the age of 64, on Monday, August 7, 2023. Beloved wife of Umberto Veraldi and cherished mother of Francesco Veraldi (Debra) and Michele Veraldi (Julianne). Sharon will also be sadly missed by her siblings (Michael, Theresa, Gail, and Catherine). Predeceased by her parents, David and Mary Haché.
Sharon was happiest when spending time with her family and friends or supporting her boys. Her unrelenting perseverance and larger-than-life personality brought strength to those around her and afforded her the unique ability to focus on the light and the journey during difficult times. Sharon will be remembered for her love, laughter and for being unapologetically herself at all times, never hesitating to provide motherly advice and support or speak her mind to those around her.
A special thanks to those who went above and beyond to support Sharon’s wishes to be at home; to the oncology and support teams at The Ottawa Hospital; and to all those who supported Sharon through her journey.
Visitation will take place at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm. As per Sharon’s wishes, no additional services will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I’m not sure what to say other than that Sharon was an amazing person and a great friend who will be greatly missed. I’m very lucky to have been able to have known her and to have had her in my life.
I wish that we would have had more time together.
My thoughts are with her family and her sons at this time.

Sharon always brought smile and laughter into my day when we worked together on special cases. I always enjoyed talking to her although we never met in person. I know she will be sadly missed by the family and friends.

I worked with Sharon for many years at the Canada Student Loans Program. We had such fun together and she was my Avon lady too. She was a hard worker and had the greatest ability to deal with our clients to resolve many issues. Everyone loved Sharon. She made us all laugh and was a bright light in the world. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I send my deepest sympathy to Umberto and the boys and their families. May Sharon rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. We went to school together in Greenwood and had a lot of laughs, especially in Home Economics class. In recent years we were only in touch through facebook and I loved seeing and hearing about her family. I will miss you my friend. RIP Sharon. Sincere condolences to her family.
Franco, Micky and Roberto, your mom was a great person and a great friend. She really enriched the lives of those of us lucky to call her friend. Your mom thought so highly of you two boys and so proud of all your accomplishments. You were the joy of her life. She will be missed by so many people. My deepest condolences to you and the rest of the family.
