It is with great sadness that we, the family of Catherine, announce her sudden passing.

Catherine will be lovingly remembered by James, as well as her children, Dustin, and Cameron,(Kassandra), her siblings Stella, and Marty. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten by her grandkids, Wyatt, Zach, and Manson.

She will be remembered fondly by the Dogs in her neighbourhood and her beautiful garden.

Family and Friends are invited to visit at Beechwood Cemetery Monday July 31st, 2023 at Noon. A Memorial Service for Cath will begin at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Jericho Road Ministries and Veterans House Canada in her name.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Catherine. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
She was my colleague for two years in the homeless program. Although we only met once in person, Catherine and I had many conversations on the phone and she would answer any questions that I had regarding our work. She was always so kind, patient and so knowledgeable.
She truly cared about the community and she will be truly missed.

Catherine and I have been close colleagues for almost 20 years. I have always admired her work ethic, her ability to see what’s needed and make it happen, and her positive attitude. She has been a huge support to me, and I will miss her terribly. Ottawa’s homelessness services system is stronger and better organized because of Catherine's work. My condolences to her family.

I was very sorry to hear that Cam's mother passed away. I am Kassandra's Mom and I know from speaking to Kassandra that she will be missed a great deal by her boys as well as my daughter. My condolences to everyone who knew Catherine. May she rest in peace.

I was the 'other Katherine' on our Homelessness Services Team and for a time - it was just Catherine, Jean & me, so we relied on each other a lot. That was 15 years ago. Catherine's calm, caring and dedicated presence was always reassuring and inspiring. Her eyes sparkled when she talked of her family - the boys, the babies, and the puppies. Although summer time was never great for her health - she really got a kick out of her garden. I will miss her greatly!

My sincere and deepest condolences to Catherine’s family and friends. I had the privilege of working closely with Catherine for many years as a community and City staff colleague. Catherine’s exceptional contributions to our most vulnerable residents and to the service providers in the homelessness sector will always be cherished and remembered. May you rest in peace Catherine.
