Jack (John V.) officer

Bob was my roommate during our senior year in Venture, along with Norm Davy, good company, and a devoted young naval officer, a credit to the service. My condolences to his family.

I was sorry to read of Bob’s passing. Bob was a respected ex-naval officer when I met him at DND HQ in the early 1990s. He and a few peers had transitioned to become the trusted experts there on naval intelligence in the post-Cold War era. As a young analyst on assignment from another organization, I observed Bob to be in his element, doing research and giving insights at daily briefings and naval conferences. He was enthusiastic and shared his vast knowledge openly.
My sincere condolences to Bob’s family.

Sincerest condolences to the family. Bob was a good friend when in NDHQ Intelligent Directorate. Then I had the honour to take over from Bob as the Canadian on staff at NATO Intelligence centre in Northwood U.K. RIP Bob from Rick and Cathy Powell

Linda and family, my sincerest condolences. I was one of many young naval intelligence officers Bob took under his generous wing to introduce the discipline and mastery of subjects so essential to the task. His counsel was always wise and helped build the confidence we needed to try and emulate his example. Thank you for sharing him with us.

So sorry to read, in today's Victoria T-C, of Bob's passing. We served 'together' a couple of times and had some 'interesting' conversations. A real nice guy who served his country well. Our sincere condolences to Linda and family.
