Passed away surrounded by family at the Ottawa General Hospital, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the age of 59. Beloved wife of Maroun Abou Fayssal. Loving mother of Anthony and Marc Abou Fayssal. Daughter of the late Amina Yaghmour and late Loutfi Gergian. Cherished sister of Lena Gergian, Silva Gergian-Boghokian her children Chahan Boghokian, Rita (Samuel Maugard), and Jeanine (Alessandro Cotugno). Mike Gergian (Gracia Asmarian) their children Anne-Marie, Ludwig and Sarine. Monther-in-law Mona Abou Fayssal, Sister-in-law Claude (Roland Mardiros) and their daughter Clauda. Nada (Nick Papamitsakis) and their children Johnny and Lucas. Suzy will also be sadly missed by families; Abou Fayssal, Gergian, Yaghmour, Boghokian, Asmarian, Bedrossian, Kassabian, Kojakafayan, Berejiklian, Sarkissian, Kalayjian, Teixeira, Nouayem, Collier-Wright, Bondy, Jbeily, Matni and Saleh.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre for their exceptional care and support.
Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery, and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario) for a Visitation on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, at St. Charbel Parish (245 Donald Street, Ottawa) at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Suzy, please do so towards St. Charbel Parish.

J'ai appris cette très triste nouvelle hier et il était déjà trop tard afin de participer aux funérailles. Je suis si désolée. Je pense à toute la famille et je suis de tout coeur avec vous. Suzy était une femme exceptionnelle. D'une générosité comme personne que j'ai connu ! Nous avons enseigné ensemble et je peux aussi témoigner qu'elle était une enseignante hors pair très apprécié de ses élèves et de ses collègues. Je manquerai sa bonne cuisine, son sourire contagieux, sa gentillesse et sa générosité. Toutes mes sympathies à la famille. Je porte Suzy dans mon coeur.
