Panayotis Coucopoulos
Caring, selfless, strong-willed, enduring, patient, loving: these words could best describe the woman that gave all her love to the people around her. Her care nurtured three generations of individuals –a feat in itself unique– who experienced her selfless actions and now strive to further propagate them. She created and fostered a loving environment and the plethora of kids and grandchildren around her are a testament to that. Giagia Voula spoke with kindness and acted with love. She didn’t hold back. I remember her delicate frame, making her way round people, with a smile on her face looking to see what more she could do for them. She didn’t complain, she didn’t hesitate, she was only asking what we needed.
She loved her family, she loved Greece, she loved its history, she loved its language, she loved the Church, she loved forgiveness. A woman who went through so many hardships in life and won every battle she fought while holding on to these singular values. She fought her battles, she persisted, she held on all the way till the end. Despite everything that life threw at her, she always put on a smile for us.
Giagia, you will be loved forever, cherished by all of those who succeeded you. I hope, wherever you are now, you found the peace you deserve.

Sweet Mrs. Coucopoulos, I wish I would have been there to tell you how much your warmth and generosity with us will always be a memory and a feeling I will carry with me for my whole life. I thank you now, from the deepest parts of my heart, for being the wonderful mother and grandmother you were, to give us Andrea and his family, who fill all our hearts with so much love. The legacy of your kindness lives on in them. Rest well, beautiful soul.

Gigia truly loved being around her family and close friends. Her face would light up whenever she talked about her kids, grandkids, or great-grandkids. When I was little, we spent lots of time coloring together and watching her favorite TV shows. She always told me how important it is to do things that make you happy. Gigia was very proud to be Greek and always talked about how special our culture is. She made me promise to always remember my Greek heritage, a promise I’ll keep forever. We’ll miss you, Gigia, but you’ll always be in our hearts and memories.
Very sorry about your mom .
She was a beautiful lady and she will be missed
