Sal was a lifelong resident of Ottawa, and a veteran of WWII, serving in the Royal Canadian Navy. In his younger years, he was a well-known singer, participating in many Orpheus and Ottawa Little Theatre productions.
Ever proud of his Italian heritage, Sal had a travel agency on Preston Street for a number of years, and was an active member of the Italian-Canadian Business and Professional Association.
Special thanks to the Perley Rideau Health Centre for their dedicated care, and to his good friend and personal caregiver André Robitaille.
All are invited to gather at 11 a.m. at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa, on Monday, August 22, 2022 with the burial service at 12 p.m. followed by a reception.

Dear dear Sal… I was just looking up your contact info to send you some pictures of us singing Sigmond Romberg together in Gatineau Hills in 1968 with the CBC orchestra … I see you’ve changed your address to Heaven . Bless you dear soul and have a wonderful time singing with angels .
