It is with deep sadness that we announce Ron’s death, after a lengthy illness. Ron is survived by wife Rita, daughter Erika, cherished granddaughter Kyra, brother Rick, and will also be missed by extended family and friends. A private gathering will take place on September 27, and a celebration of life will be held later in the Fall (date to be determined).

Ron was easy to like, good natured and caring, and goofy and made people laugh. He enjoyed music, games, camping, a scotch, being at the cottage, photography, road trips, listening to ball games on the radio, watching the Sens, and also being a couch potato!

He cared a lot about, and enjoyed having his people around him, cherishing close ties with his family, and his friends. Ron adored his wife Rita, spoke to his dear brother Ricky several times a day, and made the most of his career by always turning colleagues into lifelong friends. He had stepped into the Dad role fully, completely, but his greatest job was as Grandpa - he was smitten with Kyra from day 1, and the feeling was entirely mutual.

Ron was a really good person, will be missed by all of us, and forever Loved and remembered as he was.

For those who wish to do something in his honour, the family requests that you consider making a donation to the Osgoode Food Cupboard https://www.osgoodevillage.org/osgoode-food-cupboard.html or to the Ottawa Food Bank https://www.ottawafoodbank.ca/donate/
