René Chabot, retired RCMP passed away on October 8th, 2022 at the age of 80 years. He had a proud and fulfilling career of over 34 years with the force. René is survived by his beloved wife Joan, his daughter Kim and son-in-law Luke. He will be dearly missed by his family; André, Rachelle (Joachim), Elizabeth, Francois (Rachel) as well as many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Dr. Malek, Dominique C.N.P., the nurses in charge (Lonnie) and to all the PSW’s and staff of the Madonna Care Community for their exceptional care. A private gathering of family and friends will take place at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave.) followed by the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County or Parkinson’s Canada.
