Nancy Faye McEwen-Robillard, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on August 20, 2024. Beloved spouse to Jeffrey Robillard; mother to Shannon, Matthew and Chelsea Robillard; grandmother to Jabulani Robillard; sister to Linda McEwen, to the late Shirley Perry, Wendy Bates, Ronnie McEwen and Richard (Dickie) McEwen; daughter to the late Gordon Elburn and Mae McEwen; in-law sister to Lucile Robillard-McNulty, Suzanne Robillard, Timothy Robillard and Lori Chamberland, Josée Robillard, Dominique (Nicky) Robillard and Stewart Grant, and Patrick Robillard and Debbie Wiebe. Nancy worked in the Ottawa-Area High Tech industry for over 40 years. Nancy earned a Project Management Certificate with Honours from Algonquin College in Ottawa. She worked at Syntronic as a highly skilled Technical Project Manager, and previously worked at Artaflex, Dragonwave, Spotwave Wireless, Solectron, Sanmina-SCI, Newbridge/Alcatel, SR Telecom, Bell-Northern Research, Mitel and Epitek. Friends and Guests will be received at the Beechwood Funeral Home, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON, reception room (BORDEN FLEMING) to place photos/memorabilia on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 12:30 to1:00 pm followed by the interment of the urn at 1:00 pm and reception (BORDEN FLEMING) from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa ON. There will be an opportunity at the reception to celebrate Nancy’s life and for anyone to say a few words about her. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre.

Linda, so sorry to hear of this. You brought Nancy here for lunch many years ago and she was a delightful warm person. I think of her as “the cat whisperer” as she gently talked to our kitten and calmed her right down. God bless you and all her family.

My deepest condolences and prayers are with the family and everyone that knew Nancy. I only worked remotely with Nancy for the past few months as a customer of Syntronic, but she was a pleasure to work with and an excellent Technical Program Manager. I am so sorry.
Jeff, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember that you and Nancy come to help me on the new home inspection, met her at Christmas parties and recently saw you drop Nancy off at office… Nancy is such sweet and joyful person. My sincerest condolences to youyou’re your whole family.
