It is with the deepest sorrow that we inform you, Major Jessica Zane Ross passed away peacefully, in the arms of her husband and children, after her struggle with Colon Cancer. Jessica was an inspiring leader within the RCEME Corps and the wider CAF, and a brilliant academic.
Jessica was a loving and proud mother of Clive and Vesper, and the beloved wife to LCol Eric Ross. She is survived by her mother Regina Michaelis and father David Webb. Dear sister of Miles Michaelis, Holden Michaelis and Marita Michaelis. Jessica will also be missed by her in-laws Cameron and Laura Ross, as well as brothers-in-law Thomas (Emily Ross) and Alexander (Kelsey Greer). Jessica was also a proud aunt of Oliver and Ruby Ross. Jessica will also missed by Chad Stevens, Jennifer Mathison, Sam and Cole Stevens, in addition to extended family and many friends.
We are heart-broken by the loss of Jessica whose unsurpassed energy, kindness, and grace left a mark on all the lives she touched. She was a wonderful person. Rest in peace Jessica - we love you.

When I knew Jessica, she was in her late teens. She was the perfect big sister, an excellent student, an amazing daughter and she worked very very hard. It is an absolutely devastating blow to lose such a truly outstanding person. Rest in peace Jessica. With infinite respect forever.

Maj Ross was one of a kind, with a smile for everyone and always provided the time to listen. Her civilians in Maint Coy held her in high regard. On their behalf I extend our deepest sympathies to the family.
Deepest sympathies Eric and family.
