It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Leslie Allison Milton on December 7th, 2023, at the age of 61 at the Ottawa General Hospital Campus.
Leslie was born June 21, 1962, in Ottawa to Beverley and the late Douglas Milton. She is survived by her loving mother Beverley, brother Scott and Sister-in-Law Marilyn, her niece Amy Dolan (Ryan Racine), and nephews Lucas Dolan (Erika Lyall) and Wren Alexander (Matt Radway) also great nephews Liam Dolan, Cohen and Leo Racine and very close cousins Lauren and Colin Mulligan, among many others.
Leslie graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1985 with an Honours Degree in Mathematics. She worked for 35 years with GGFL accounting firm in Ottawa and retired as an associate partner in September 2018.
Leslie enjoyed travelling extensively with her whole family, especially the time she spent with her mother, throughout North America, Europe, and the Mediterranean. Leslie enjoyed cooking (especially treats for special occasions), playing cards, and Curling at the Carleton Heights Curling Club and made many friends throughout her life. Her favourite pets were cats, the most recent being Buddy.
Leslie was known for her kind heart, generosity, caring and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada or Faith Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
The wake will be held at Beechwood Cemetery and Funeral Home on Thursday February 15th , 2024 between 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, February 17th, 2024 at 1:00 PM followed by refreshments.
A private interment of ashes will occur sometime in late Spring 2024.

I had the good fortune of working with Leslie at GGFL from 1996 to 2018. She led my orientation when I started and was always so caring and supportive to me in my career. Leslie cared so much about the people she worked with at GGFL and about her clients and even after she retired I would reach out occasionally with a client-related question and Leslie was always available to help. My condolences to her family and friends on her passing. She will be missed by me and many other GGFL colleagues.

My condolences to the family. I curled with Leslie at Carleton Heights with the Business Women. We went in many bonspiels together. She had a lovely gentle sense of humor and was kind and sweet. She will be missed.

Leslie was a constant friendly face at Carleton Heights curling club. If you were going to the Brier, the Play downs (any major curling event) you would probably run into Leslie in the patch. She was a true fan!!

Leslie was a most welcome addition to the community of gardeners at Maplelawn for the last few years. She had an infectious smile and an abundance of energy. We knew her as a valued gardener. We curled for a number of years on a mixed team with Leslie. She always had a ready smile and was eager to play. She spoke of her family often, including her cat. We are so sad to hear of her passing.
