Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Ottawa on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the age of 57. Beloved husband of Claudia Hyde (nee Chacon). Cherished father of Phil, Caroline, and Audrey. Survived by his brother, Dave. Son of the late Helen and Howard Hyde. Len will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Family and friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) for a Celebration of Len’s Life on Thursday, March 10th, 2022, Words of Remembrance beginning at 3 p.m., followed by Reception and a continuance of sharing memories from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Len’s memory to a charity of your choice or plant a tree in his memory. Special thanks to Dr. Jen Brodeur and Len’s palliative care team, both at home and at the General Hospital.

Claudette Aubin -boyhood neighbour

I WILL alwayst remember Len and his best boyhood friend Kevin Aschauer borrowing my bucket and brooms when starting his business;skiing in the
Laurentiens and boating at the cottage with his friends.So terribly sorry to hear of his passing. My very best to Claudia and kids.

Leslie (Ratz) Larkin

When I think of Len, I always see his smiling, happy demeanour. He had that look of shyness, but was always engaging.
I loved hearing about all the shenanigans he and Chris (my brother) would get into over the many years growing up together.
He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
My heart goes out to you Claudia and your family ❤️

Len will be truly missed, he was a true friend, inspiring athlete to spend time with and dedicated family man. My deepest condolences to the family, my heart goes out to you.
