After living a full, loving and long life, Greg passed away peacefully, how he was the happiest, with his adoring wife and family by his side. Greg was a devoted husband to his wife of 66 years, Sheila (Koberinski). They spent their years together moving throughout North America in their 60-year Military and National Defense career, eventually making Ottawa home. In that time, Greg was the father to four daughters; Kathy, Kim (Stephen), Gale (Guy), and Wendy (Brent). He was the hero, idol, role model, and grandfather to Arin (Trevor), Kristine (Bob), Jessica (Mark), and Greg (Marley). Greg's great-grandchildren brought a joy to his life that was unparalleled; Braelyn, Asher, Hailey, Karter, Zoe, Lucy, Ben, Jack, and Kaylee. He was a brother, uncle, friend, father-in-law, and admired by many people in his life. Greg will be sorely missed by many. His Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 4 pm at St. Ignatius Martyr Church in Ottawa, ON.

I don’t know if I can get used to being in a world without you. But I will. I am honoured to have been by your side for the past few years.
You courageously fought against this disease that ravaged your brilliant mind and amazing physical abilities, and refused to give into it. I have always admired your strength, your warmth and your huge capacity to accept everyone despite their faults . Whenever I came home from work in the morning, no matter how difficult your day was, you ALWAYS, greeted me with a smile, a look of relief and a “hello Babe”. We shared so many laughs in the past few years, we got each other😊. Even when you were suffering in your final days, you always had a smile for me and made me feel like the most important person in the world.
I cherish every moment that brought us closer, and for now am lost without you.
Thank you for making me feel so loved
I love you Dad. What a strong powerful Guardian Angel I have in you. With my husband Stephen and you watching over me.. no one will mess with me❤️❤️❤️❤️

The world has lost a great man. I always admired Uncle Greg, and had such great respect for him. It was outwardly obvious the love he had for his girls, his grandkids and most of all his beautiful wife. The world could use a few more men like him Heaven truly gained another angel. Rest in peace sweet Uncle.

Hearing of Greg’s passing, brought back so many memories of us and our families growing up together at the Riverside. Greg was such a lovely and gracious person.
Sheila, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Take care of yourselves. Dianne

I knew Mr. Erickson through my late brother Stephen, and my sister-in-law Kim. I was impressed by the generosity of spirit he showed towards my brother, and through Kim I learned he was a beloved role model and father. My heart goes out to Kim, his wife, daughters and extended family during this difficult time.

I met Greg (and Kathy) through the dog sport community in Ottawa. His work with his Portuguese Water Dog, Zara, was great to see. My condolences to Kathy and his family. He will be greatly missed.
I remember your Dad from Rockcliffe. I know how special he was to you all from Kathy's stories over the years. Thinking of you all at the difficult time. May the good memories bring you peace.
