It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gaston Bertrand Dolbec on February 27, 2022 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his proud and loving mother Olivette Briand.

He will be greatly missed and remembered by his beloved spouse and devoted friend Janine Ewing-Dolbec, loving children Alexandre (Marie-Pier Haide), Olivia (Logan Gleason-Blois), his brother Mario of St. Jerome, QC and grandson Tommy.

Gaston’s early childhood was in Saint-Alexandre Québec; he was a devoted son and brother. He excelled in his studies. Gaston joined the National Defence Armed forces and served his country in several overseas operations, risking his life to protect Canadians. He continued his career and was an outstanding manager, mentor, and he took pride in helping his employees.

Gaston was most proud of his role as a devoted father and loved his children dearly.  He was always there for them; he was kind, fair, and understanding.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gaston’s memory to the Red Cross would be appreciated.

I will always have fond memories of Gastons admirable kindness, calmness and wittiness.
He was such a gentle man and loved those around him so deeply. His daughter was his greatest accomplishment and their beautiful bond will forever live on.
Sending all my love and strength to Olivia, Janine and family.

Gaston was a wonderful person and father. Olivia was very lucky to have him. Your family always welcomed me as i was one of your own children and i will forever be grateful for that. May Gaston Rest In Peace.

Gaston was a lovely man! He was a proud Frenchmen, who was a kind and loving Son, Husband, Father, Son-in-Law, Brother-in-Law and Uncle. We all loved his favourite lunch... Black Forest Ham, Cheese & Baguette, a Great Glass of Red... or White... or Sparking and usually a Second Glass was enjoyed! We teased him about his flat feet and he always gave us his signature eye roll. Our family was always welcome in his and Janine's home and always with a smile and Bonjour!
We will miss this man!
