It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Edward (Ted) on January 19, 2022, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Phyllis he also leaves his children Shari (Scott) and Greg (Shelly), his grandchildren Nicholas, Josh, Makayla, Jacob, Courtney, Marissa and Caleb. He also leaves his great-grandchildren Rowan, Noah, and Charlotte. He leaves his sister Joan as well. Friends are invited to visit at Elizabeth Park Protestant Congregation, 337 Breadner Boulevard Ottawa, Ontario, on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 12noon followed by a Memorial Mass at 1:00pm. To those attending, under current Covid Protocol guidelines, you must wear a mask at all times and proof of vaccination will be required. As per Ted’s wishes, in lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society-Ontario Division-Renfrew County or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Dear Phyllis and extended family,
on behalf The Alumni (a group of friends and co-workers who knew and worked with Ted at RCAF Uplands, DCI, at Louis St. Laurent Bldg in Hull, QC or retirees from both who got together once a month for Brekkie and ,sometimes, discuss the sorry state of our current Military), I wish to extend our heartfelt, sincere condolences.
I know that we all have many treasured memories of Ted , who was always ready to help with any and all problems that came our way and could also be solved, at times with his smile and a firm hand shake. Speaking of Airmen, Ted was not only one of the good ones ,but one of the BEST.
Ted, I know that we will all meet again, somewhere down the road.

To Phyllis and family I send my condolences. Fortunate to have fond memories of our morning chats at Merivale Y. These early am chats which frequently included a joke, a verbal jab or two, a laugh and even on occasion a bit of serious conversation were what one looked forward to and served as the foundation of our friendship. You will be missed.

Phyllis and family,
Our deepest sympathies regarding Ted's passing. We had a short but very pleasant acquaintance with Ted courtesy of the Merivale Y group including our regular exercises and the "Y Guys" breakfast get togethers. We thought him as one of the "Good" guys and shall of course be missed by all who knew him.
