Our beloved husband, father, son, and friend passed suddenly on November 2, 2021. He is survived by his daughter Leia, wife Caitlin, mother Tina, his siblings, and many of his brothers and sisters in arms.

Justin was born in Indian Head Saskatchewan and raised in Winnipeg. He worked as a cook before joining the military in 2007. He spent the first part of his career as an MSE op and in 2012 He changed trades to become an electrician.  Over the years the Royal Canadian Engineers became Justin's family. During his multiple deployments and postings he made many amazing friends, whom he loved fiercely.

He had a passion for gaming and music and could often be heard singing his favourite songs. He often entertained his friends with his own rendition of “The Sound of Silence” be it on deployment, raising the spirits of those around him, in the car singing along with his little girl or dancing in the kitchen with his wife.

Justin had an amazing smile, an infectious laugh,  He could instantly lift  the mood of a room and make you laugh so hard that your sides hurt. He was a dedicated father, loving husband and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

We would be honored if your could join us for a celebration of Justin's life on Saturday, November 13th 2021. Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Service (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), for a visitation beginning at 12 noon and the Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. An interment with full military honours to take place in the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces, located at Beechwood Cemetery at 3 p.m. The Family have chosen to remove the distancing requirement and capacity limit, but all patrons must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination and government identification upon their arrival at the Funeral Home. The Family have chosen to remove the distancing requirement and capacity limit, but all patrons must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination and government identification upon their arrival at the Funeral Home.

We are so sorry for your loss and you are in our prayers. We fondly remember the Halloween Darth Vader and Princess Leia (Justin & Katie) stopped by to see our 3 boys and have a light Sabre fight. May all your wonderful memories bring you peace.
