With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Chui Yuk Choy, who left us peacefully on July 22, 2024. Known for her strength, calm demeanor, and unwavering love, she was a beacon of kindness and became everyone's “Mama”.
Mama dedicated her life to her family. Her hard work and willingness to help anyone in need defined her character and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was cherished by friends and family alike, her warmth and compassion drawing people to her effortlessly.
She is survived by her loving children: John Choy, (Karen, Olivia and Julia), Angela Choy (Peter), and Lisa Choy (Andrew). She will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Jackia (Raymond) and May (Robin) and all of her nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends whose lives she touched.
Her legacy of kindness, hard work, and generosity will continue to inspire us. Though we mourn her loss, we find comfort in the memories of her love and the lessons she taught us. Chui Yuk will be missed dearly, but her spirit will live on in our hearts forever. We love you Mama.
Visitation will be held at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Tuesday, July 30 from 9 to 11 a.m., with interment to follow.
