Carey passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2024 at the age of 48. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Joey Jubinville and loving mother of Hayley and Chloe. She was the daughter of the late Frank V. MacKinnon and the late Madeleine Lalande. She leaves to mourn her sister Michelle de Lima (Kevin Plater), her half sister Mary Madden, her mother-in-law Linda Molyneaux (Greg), her brothers-in-law Stephen (Linda) and Cody as well as her many aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Carey left her mark on everyone she met with her smile and kind heart.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Program and Bayshore Healthcare, Benita and Karina, while Carey was in their care.
Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (Ottawa, ON). There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Carey and I shared classes in Highschool and I was friends with her future husband Joey Jubinville. I believe my brother Dan was friends with Carey's sister where they both attended Ecole Secondaire Garneau. Carey was a special person. Her upbeat and caring personality, as well as her great sense of humor, were just some of her defining characters. Carey was outgoing and always willing to help friends in need including myself. I'm deeply saddened that Carey has passed. Carey must have been proud of the legacy she has left with her husband and daughters. We all miss you Carey. We hope you are resting in peace.
