It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother Anna Maria Turner (nee Battista) on March 23rd after a long battle with dementia. Anna was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.
Anna is predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Gina Battista, and her brother Giovanni Battista.
She is survived by her husband Conrad, her children Deborah (John), Andrea (Neil) and Patrick (Jessica), her grandchildren Katerina, Alexandra, Victoria, Addison, Gavin, and Jessica, as well as her sister Vincenza (Mario) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Though you are gone, the love you gave us remains, a beautiful reminder of your presence in our lives.
We would like to thank the staff at St. Patrick’s Home and the palliative team at the Ottawa Hospital for their support.
Services will take place on Thursday, April 2nd in the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre. A funeral liturgy will be held at 1pm, for those wishing to attend.
Following the service, there will be a celebration of life from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects any time throughout this celebration.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
