It is with deep sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Michel Albert Falardeau on March 2, 2026.

Michel is the loving son of Cécile Marchand and the late Corbett Falardeau. Is the devoted brother to Denis Falardeau. He will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, extended family members, friends, and colleagues.

Michel was known for his steady presence, and the pride he took in his work. During his time at Beechwood Cemetery, he played a meaningful role in the continued development of the National Military Cemetery of Canada, a project that brought him great pride. Contributing to a place that honours those who served meant a great deal to him, and his dedication and care left a lasting mark. Michel’s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family and friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON) on Monday, March 30th, 2026, from 9:00 am in Beechwood`s Sacred Space, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am. A Reception will follow.

In memory of Michel, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

We had the pleasure of meeting Michel here in Rockland while he was visiting his brother Denis. He helped us with planning our first trip to the beautiful Gaspé area. This beautiful gem is now our “coup de coeur”. Merci Michel for your generosity during the planning of this beautiful trip. When we return to Gaspé, you will always be in our thoughts. I am so happy that you enjoyed my soup as you also mentioned it was better than Denis. Denis didn’t hold this against me by the way. When I visit my dad, and bonus dad in the military cemetery at Beechwood, please send me a sign as I am certain you are planning a beautiful place in heaven until we meet again. Most sincere condolences to your maman, your beloved brother Denis, and les ma tantes. Avec amour your sister from another mother, Lynn et Jack

M’sieur, as he was known to many of us, was a great golf buddy with unmatched humour.

Tu me faisais du bien mon beau lapin.
