It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Gabrielle (Gabie) Leclaire on May 8, 2025, at the age of 85. She was surrounded by her loving family at her side.
Beloved wife of late Guy Leclaire (Ti-Guy) loving mother of Denise Duval (late Roch), Suzanne, Roseanne Ducharme (Roger), Paulette (Paul), Guy (Danielle), and Norman (Nathalie).
Gabrielle (Gabie) was very much loved and a proud grandmother (memère) of her deeply cherished grandchildren Jesse, Derek, Todd, Nathalie, Stéphanie, Ashley, Colt, Sophie, Mélika, Troy, Vanessa, Chloé et Hugo, and her great grandchildren (Grand Mère/Grand Grand Memère) Alexis, Atlas, Mia, Hunter, Tanner and Amélie who will miss her so very much.
Daughter of the late Edmond Patry and Alice Carrière. Loving sister of her brothers Ronald (late Bertha), Gerald (late Rex), Jean, Alfred (Leslie) and sisters late Claire Hétu (Late Raymond), late Jeannette Desormeaux (late Oscar), late Lucille Anderson (late Donald), Louise Tremblay (Maurice), Hélène Reid (late Hal), and Thérèse Richard (Jean-Pierre).
Gabrielle was a kind, generous, loving and beautiful person with an enormous heart and soul. She will be deeply missed by everyone. She was our little ANGEL and is now our Guardian Angel and a true Matriarch.
You will forever live in our hearts. May you rest in PEACE....MOM, MÉMÈRE, GRAND MÈRE, GRAND-GRAND-MÉMÈRE and be reunited with your beloved Ti-Guy who is waiting with open arms.

Special thanks to all the staff at the General Hospital Cancer Center, Palliative Care Ottawa Program team, Ontario Health atHome and Bayshore HealthCare who did their best to keep our Mom comfortable. A Special thanks to Dr. Fitzgibbons of the Palliative Care Ottawa Program team for his compassion and special attention to mom.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 21st between 2-4pm and 7-9 pm, as well as Thursday, May 22nd at 12pm to pay your respects. A memorial service will follow at 1pm. Burial of the urns for both Guy and Gabrielle will follow.
All are welcome to a lunch gathering following the ceremony from 2:30-4:30. This will be held at the Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave. Vanier, Ontario.
Any donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
