Passed peacefully surrounded by family in Ottawa on Saturday, September 1, 2024; at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Cynthia Lafreniere (nee Haynes). Loving stepfather of Roger Saunderson (Solange Phaneuf) and cherished father of Daniel Lafreniere (Jayde Medland). Adored Grampie of Liam. Brother of William (Pamela Lafreniere), the late Elaine Redmond and the late Donald Lafreniere. Son of the late George David Lafreniere and the late Georgina Lafreniere (nee Devine). Tom will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends (both 2 and 4 legged!).
Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), for a Visitation on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
All of the services for Tom are PET FRIENDLY. Donations in memory of Tom may be made to Camp Misquah.

Thank you for being such a wonderful neighbor and welcoming us on to your porch and into your community. Our kids have learned so many little valuable life lessons on a day to day basis from you, and so did we. You taught us to slow down, drink a coffee, pet a dog, talk to a neighbor and check-in on people. Just by being yourself you made everyone a little happier.
