First met Ben in 1979 on my first shift at Leitrim. As a new Pte, learned a lot from him. One of the best pool players on shift. We were posted in different places after that but so glad we re-connected at work over the past couple of years. We would chat walking up and down the “ramp”. So enjoyed those brief talks, always positive and happy.

RIP Brother.

Ben was one of my first team leaders. He was always positive, energetic and encouraging, with words of wisdom to give. He stood out to me because of those qualities and was a good mentor. He will be missed and is gone too soon. I was really saddened to hear of his loss. He touched many people and left such positive effects on us all.

Sad news indeed. Ben will always be remembered for his decades-long committed service to Canada, and for generously sharing his knowledge and expertise with countless colleagues. My sincere condolences to Jacqueline and all of Ben’s friends and family.
