Lloyd Edward Smith, beloved husband of Carol (nee Mulligan), devoted father of Blake and dear father-in-law of Nadia Martineau, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 31, 2024, at the age of 73 in Orleans, Ontario.

He was born November 29, 1950, in Ottawa, Ontario, to his loving mother Lillian Harrison (nee Denison).

Lloyd was also a proud grandfather to Liam and had many aunts, uncles and cousins who cherished him.

In his leisure time, Lloyd was an avid golfer, a passionate hockey fan and player, and thoroughly enjoyed his trips and friends in Florida.  His enthusiasm for sports and travel brought joy to those around him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lloyd’s memory can be made to Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Lloyd Edward Smith « Smitty » will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Dear Carol & Blake; please accept my condolences. Lloyd had such a quick wit and a great sense of humour. I really appreciated his trust and friendship. He designed the best shower ever. I will always remember him fondly. Please look after each other and take it one day at a time.
