It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Terry Jaja at the age of 70 in Ottawa, Ontario.
Terry faced his battle with cancer with remarkable strength and resilience, surrounded by his loving family until his last breath. He was a beloved husband, a devoted father and father-in-law, a faithful brother, a cherished uncle, and the proudest grandfather.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Diane, with whom he shared a lifetime of pure love and devotion. Terry will be deeply missed by Diane, their children Frederick (Marie-Josée), Christopher (Kristen), and Jessica, and their grandchildren Jasmine, Dalia, Benjamin, and William. They were his pride and joy, and his guidance and affection enriched their worlds immeasurably.
In addition to his immediate family, Terry leaves behind in Lebanon his mother, Maria Semaan (late Farid Elabed), his brothers Anthony (Nahia) and Raymond (Vivianne), his sisters Asmahan (late Salim) and Salwa (Miled), along with many cherished uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues who will forever hold his memory dear in their hearts.
Terry brought kindness, wisdom, and laughter to the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of generosity and community-building will continue to resonate within our hearts. While we mourn his loss, we find solace in knowing that he is now at peace.
Friends are invited to pay respects at the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa on Thursday April 4th from 4:00 to 6:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. More than a friend, more than a nephew, Terry was our lifeline. He was the enabler who allowed us total peace of mind. Whatever life threw at him, he embraced, for he saw it as an opportunity to learn and improve. His family was his vocation. His career, a tool to provide and help whomever crossed his path. His mind was constantly at work staging events for family and friends gathering. Generous to a fault, he gave time, work, money to everyone whether they needed it or not! In his quest to improve the world, he was supported by his beautiful wife Diane and his fantastic children Frederick, Christopher and Jessica. We grieve for their loss for it is ours too. Rest well dear Terry, you have earned it.
With love and respect,
Josette and Michel

his wife Diane, his children Frederick, Christopher and Jessica and loved ones.
Dear Uncle Terry,
I can't believe this is the last time I will tell you good bye. You've been a bedrock in all our lives from the moment we were born. I don't know what I will miss more, your smile, your laugh, your guidance or your kind heart. Wherever you were, the whole family gravitated towards you, simultaneously being the center of attention and the invisible magic hand. You are irreplaceable, however if we are to combine all the people that love you, that you left behind, we might get close. Fred's smile, Chris' jokes, Jess' passion and Tante Diane's heart. You were the sum of all and they are the sum of you.
With all our love, till we meet again.
