It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Rochon at the age of 42, in January of 2024, in Ottawa, Ontario.

Paul will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Mallory, and their two adoring sons, Henry (7) and Louis (5). He is survived by his loving parents, Pierre and Sandy Rochon (nee Stockdale) and his younger brother, Andrew (Lesley-Anne). Paul's memory will also be cherished by aunts, uncles, cousins, his niece and nephew, and his closest friends.

Paul's love for Mallory and their two beautiful boys was evident to all who knew him. He will be remembered as a loving and affectionate father and husband, a caring son, and a wonderful brother and friend. Paul found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from cooking and gardening, to golfing with his best friends, to Father-Son fishing trips with Pierre and Andrew. His happiest days will be remembered with warmth and fondness, and his ability to light up any room will be missed.

In this time of grief, we celebrate the life of Paul Rochon and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. May his memory be a source of comfort and strength during these difficult days.

A Memorial Service for close family and friends to honour Paul's life will be held at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Monday, February 12, 2024, a gathering beginning at 10 a.m. followed by a Service in Beechwood’s Sacred Space at 11 a.m., followed by a Reception from 12 noon until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Go Fund Me

Paul made everyone feel like family, like you have known him forever. He had the power to make everyone around him comfortable, relaxed and part of something bigger.

He was loving and caring, and always a person to find joy in everything you did together. We shared a truly amazing friendship over the years. Celebrated each other victories, and achievements and always shared advice on the different paths of our lives. Always looking out for each other and checking in.

Paul wasn't afraid to tell other people that he cared about them. I will always take that forward with me and make it part of my life.

Paul Rochon was my son Nick's friend. His passing is a devastating loss to his family, friends and all who knew him or had ever met him. One of the good guys who left us way too soon, May he rest in peace.

Paul was my wonderful nephew that was always happy to be part of family events and celebrations. He was an inspiration for me to start a family of my own because I thought I would love to be a father to a fine young man like him. My son Michael always enjoyed time spent with Paul as they grew up. Paul in turn was a wonderful father to his boys Henry and Louis . He will be dearly missed by us all and has been embraced by God’s loving arms.
We will all have wonderful memories of Paul to comfort us in our grief

Paul was the type of person that always went out of his way to make sure that everyone around him was happy.

He cared deeply about people and creating long-lasting friendships with the people he worked with and also the clients he worked so hard for. He always wanted to do the right thing, no matter what it would take.

He considered everyone his friend and we all considered him a friend so we would share collectively in all the joys and struggles of trying to make the world a better place. He understood very clearly that it's people and not pixels that create change in the world, so he always focused on the people and I will be sure to carry his spirit with me in my heart.

I will miss sharing the joys of being a father of two boys with him all the little things that make it so rewarding when you're tired, frustrated and overstimulated.

I will never forget Paul, because he was the type of person that you don't get to meet, let alone work with, often in life and I feel truly blessed to have had the chance to know him.

We send our loving thoughts to all the family. Sandy and Pierre, you were loving, caring parents who do not deserve to be hit with such a devastating loss. With children the same age, we shared many reflections on parenthood. Paul was a gentle soul and I know he brought you both many happy memories. We are so sorry for your loss. May his spirit live on through his children.

My sincere sympathies to Sandy, Pierre and all of Paul’s family and friends. Paul played with the Leitrim hockey team with my son Jonathan. These special memories will forever be in my heart. May you find comfort in the cherished moments you shared together, and may his memory bring you peace.
