In loving memory of Natasha Sita Anderson (Perera), born on September 16, 1977, we celebrate her life and mourn her passing on February 1st, 2024, surrounded by her family after being suddenly hospitalized and overwhelmed by a rapid onset and inexplicable physical illness. Natasha was a compassionate soul, radiating unwavering love and empathy for all.
Though her life was taken from us, her beautiful soul is everlasting. Natasha found solace in her friends and family, both in person and in her virtual community. An avid reader, she immersed herself in the world of literature. Natasha was an ardent advocate for the underdog, dedicating her efforts to equity and fairness in all her pursuits.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy embraced by her beloved family: husband Mark, children Lena (11) and Makai (8), brother Hershel, sister-in-law Julie, and nephews Krish and Aary. Her parents, Asha (Sam) and Hiran (Lizzy), were integral parts of her life, each contributing to the extraordinary spirit she embodied. In addition, her extended family, including loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, played pivotal roles in shaping the rich tapestry of her life.
Natasha's friendships stood as a testament to her generous spirit and genuine care for others. Her friends were not just companions but her chosen family, each holding a special place in her heart, forging bonds that transcended mere friendship.
As a heartfelt tribute to Natasha, we kindly request that you play "Adore" by Prince on your own time—a song that beautifully encapsulates the enduring beauty and love she brought into our lives.
Friends are invited to gather at the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa on Friday, February 9th, after 12noon. A celebration of Natasha's Life will be held at 1 p.m. followed by a reception in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Natasha's name to the Canadian Children's Literacy Foundation.
As we bid farewell to her physical presence, let us carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and joy. Though she may be absent in body, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

Words cannot express the deep friendship that God blessed us with. From our first conversation, we both realized that we had found someone who truly "got me" - we never had to explain ourselves to each other ... we just knew. You are one in a million. You know how much I am going to miss you. If Lena and Makai ever need their Aunty Cyn, I am never more than a phone call away. They and Mark will always be in my prayers. That will be no surprise to you. I love you always, my friend.

My dear sweet friend Tash, you will be forever loved and forever missed. You will always be Aunty Natasha to Kaylee and Ryan. Over the last few days Richard, Kaylee, Ryan and I have talked about the so many amazing memories of our times together, from the early morning Starbucks at gymnastics to our family suppers and sleepovers. Although we moved time zones, you guys have remained close to our hearts. I am at a loss for words. We love you, Mark, Bean and Kai Kai. May you rest in Peace my beautiful friend.

Dearest Tash, I still cannot believe you're gone. It's been a few days, and the right words seem to elude me. We became fast friends after meeting at work and though you were tiny in stature, your heart was huge.
You lit the world up with your rare and beautiful soul. Your legacy will live on in your beautiful children and in the memories we all hold dear. You have left us way too soon. Rest in peace my dear friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My deepest sympathy to Asha, a long time friend of mine. Natasha is well remember by my children Suzanne and Herman, that Natasha did baby sit them in her teenager times. They are so shock and so sorry for what happened to Natasha so early in her life. She will be remember for ever as being such a wonderful person. May she rest in peace and that her family take for blessing that they had such a wonderful person in their life.

Tasha, my surrogate daughter. It was a blessed day when your dear friend and my daughter Kimberley brought you my life. I'm going to miss your contagious smile, your chuckle and your warm embrace. I'm going to miss your words of wisdom on social media, your religious thoughts that you put in words; and your expression of love for your family and ALL around you.
You were (are) the epitome of a beautiful soul. You are gone too soon, but you left an indelible mark in my life, my surrogate daughter. REST IN PEACE Sweetie. God's garden is more beautiful than ever.
My sincere condolences to the family.
May the Love of God enfolds you all
The Light of God surrounds you,

Oh Tash, my sweet and beautiful friend. I can never adequately express how grateful I am to have known you. Our connection began with books but grew to be so much more. You were such a kind and thoughtful friend. I laughed with you, cried with you, confided in you. You were such a source of light, comfort and joy. A genuine friend. I’m heartbroken to say goodbye to you. You were everything good and I miss you so very much.
I am in constant prayer for the comfort and peace of your family. And all of your friends, even those of us who are far away physically but so close in our hearts.
I love you. Rest well, beautiful.
